beautiful carolina day

Kate and NanaDana took a walk around NanaNana's yard while Pops planted a great big tree.

all grown up!

Papaw turns 18! Happy Birthday!!!!

a justice house special...

I can't imagine how many celery sticks stuffed with cream cheese I've eaten over the years. Hundreds. And now my baby girl has been introduced to the tradition. She clearly loved the treat...I'm sure the celery / cream cheese legacy has a long future!

Kate, Haley, and Papaw Johnny

Papaw hasn't been feeling too well lately, but that didn't keep him from loving on his two most favorite great-granddaughters.

hey you!

You were beginning to lose faith in me, weren't you? I know...it's been a few days since I've posted new pictures. What can I say? I'm wrong, you're right, I'm sorry. Pictures will be up SOON. One of the problems is that our camera's batteries are kaput and Kate keeps pulling the rechargeable batteries out of the socket. I know it's low to blame the baby, but it really is all her fault.

So, let's make a deal. I'll post these adorable, though not brand-spankin' new, pictures of Kate tonight, and you keep checking your favorite blog (this one) for more updates. You in?

Fabulous!

I love this little brown dress on our little brown eyed girl. It's one of my all-time faves.

It's a bird, it's a plane...it's SUPERBABY! And what exactly is her superpower? Irresistible cuteness. I'm here to tell you, friends, she's dangerous.

So, I know all of you have already seen the cute pics of Kate in her puppy outfit, but I haven't had a chance to share my new do with the family. Here it is...what d'ya think?

Okay, remember the deal. Come back soon to see new pictures of Kate and to read more of my incredibley witty commentary. Or for the pictures, whatever.

technical difficulties

At the friendly, and perhaps not-so-friendly, urging of our loved ones, I set out tonight to update the ole blogg. Much to my frustration, The Burp Cloth seems to have disappeared into the black hole of cyberspace. If you're able to view the blog now, hallebagoosie (Sorry, Mom. I know you don't approve of my foul language).
So, given the present circumstances, I didn't want to take the time to post a new Kate picture. Once I'm confident that the blog is back in the full swing of things, I will be more than happy to promptly post a picture. (Does everyone use alliteration for fun, or is it just another one of my dorkisms?)

In case this does post...a big, happy congratulations to my girl Heather, her hubby, Tripp, and their beautiful new baby boy, Drew! Can't wait to see that hunk of love!
