pumpkin night

I was afraid this might happen. My pictures posted in the wrong order. I was trying to commemorate our 1st Annual Burton Pumpkin Night with a cute little picture story, but now you need to scroll to the bottom of the post and work your way up. Sorry.

Our new friend! Thus concluded our Pumpkin Night. Sam slept through most of it, but I'm sure he'll be all about it next year as an almost-two-year-old. Yikes!

The artist at work. And my favorite part, sorting out all the seeds from the gooey gunk and baking them. So good.

The finished product and a silly grin to go with it.

Did you make it here? Good. So while Stephen was working his magic on our pumpkin, Kate and I did some baking. It wasn't difficult. Easier than break and bake--very toddler-friendly. And after enjoying her first batch of cookies, Kate now considers herself quite the cook, as well she should. They were yummy.

That's a nice looking pumpkin and some adorable kids. What great family time. We are going to try our hand at pumpkin carving before we head out to trick or treat tomorrow. Kate and Sam are both getting so big. Happy belated birthday to Miss Kate! Sorry we haven't been keeping up with either viewing or updating blogs-I'm going to get back into the swing of it soon. Love you all.
