It's not at all unusual for Kate to hang out with me in the bathroom on Sunday mornings while I get ready for church. She asks me about all the different kinds of make-up, my jewelry, etc. Today was no different, except for this part:
Me: Alright, Kate, I think I'm ready. Do I look nice?
Kate: Well, I don't think anybody will laugh at you.
The take-away: If you don't really want to know, don't ask.
